GoStereo Tune In Tune Out Headphones

The GoStereo Tune In Tune Out Headphones (see CNET Review or ZDNET Review) are somewhat unique in that they’re two things in one – they can be used as headphones or positioned as normal speakers to share the sound. That’s kinda cool, especially if – like a lot of people – you enjoy sharing your musical tastes with others. Sure, there are other ways to plug your MP3 player into a stereo system or computer to share your music, but how cool is it to walk in wearing headphones then be able to turn them into mini-speakers wherever (and whenever) you might be. Pretty cool.

When you first see the headphones from GoStereo, they really do look like any set of normal headphones. They have a sleek, distinctive design. When you twist and turn and transform them into speakers, the transformation is pretty cool. When you think of headphones that act as speakers you might picture blocky speakers covering someone’s ears, but GoStereo has gone the other way – where you end up with speakers that kinda look like headphones rather than the other way around.

No matter what type of MP3 player you have – an Apple iPod Touch or a Zen Stone – the GoStereo Tune in Tune Out headphones will make it that much cooler and more useful. They’re not as expensive as you might imagine, either.

This does get me wondering about what they’ll come up with next – an MP3 player that doubles as a mobile phone? Oh, wait, they have that. Smile. Maybe a memory card that acts as a backup battery? Hmm. That might be cool. Who knows what the future of MP3 players holds. You can rest assured that MP3 Player Zone will be looking into it very carefully.

If you’ve used or seen the GoStereo Tune in Tune Out headphones, leave a comment and let us know what you thought! Til next time, keep transforming your MP3 player accessories…
