The Samsung S3 Slim (see CNET Review) has it’s name for a reason – and it’s not because it’s thick. At around 0.4 inches thick, it’s one of the slimmest and thinnest MP3 players out there. As with a lot of Samsung MP3 players, the design is very sheek, very slick, very fashion oriented. The sound is good too. There aren’t a lot of features with the Samsung S3, though. One could almost say it’s slim on features. Smile.
Seriously, though, for the price, and the great design, it’s a good MP3 player for those who want something simple that plays music decently and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. It also makes a good second MP3 player, if you already have a feature rich MP3 player like the iPod or Zune or something similar.
The body is covered with a clear coat, giving the MP3 player a shine and sheen, which adds a little to its mystique maybe, its sense of style and fashion. And that’s maybe what this MP3 player is all about – good sounds and a good, stylish look.
If this is going to be your primary MP3 player, though, and you don’t care much about style or design, you might shop around to see if you can get more features in another player. The Samsung S3 Slim isn’t missing a lot of features, but things like Bluetooth would be nice.
The screen is slightly small, at 1.8 inches diagonal. The screen isn’t much, but what displays on the screen is. Samsung gives you three menu themes to choose from, customizing the look of the interface. Beyond that, the interface is really easy to use, even without weighing through a large manual.

Joanne – you might look into a universal docking station via a 3.5 mm auxiliary input … i put up a blog post today about a docking station that does just that.
Kris,
Do you have a name or a part number that would fit my Samsung YP S3 player? I would love to be able to get a universal dock but am afraid that once I get it, it won’t fit my player. Thanks for answering my post. I hope you get this one.

krystal,
All you do is connect it to your computer and access it like you would any other hard drive then you drag and drop. It’s pretty damn simple. Or you could always use the sfotware that comes with it.
i am thinking of getting one of the Samson mp3s dou you think it is a good idea?
Yeah they are good choice and the price is also fine for s3.
