The newest Sony Walkman MP3 Player, the NWZ-W202 (see CNET Review or the official Sony Page) is a hands free and hassle free way to listen to your music when you’re on the go, wherever you might be. This MP3 player is perfect for people who want a second mp3 player for the gym and other places where you’re active. Without wires, it’s easy to listen to this anywhere without a fuss. Sometimes, this is what separates a good MP3 player from a great mp3 player.
In addition to the sound quality provided by its 13.5mm EX headphones, the new W-series Walkman MP3 player also has Sony’s ZAPPIN, which lets your browse, search and listen to music without a display to get around and select songs.
Controlled with a Jog Dial, it really helps you find tunes easily by playing popular clips of each song in your device’s music library until a favorite is selected. At 2GB you’re not going to be able to fit your whole music collection on here, but you’re also not going to be exercising longer than 2GB worth of music. Variety is the spice of life, though, but 2GB is more than enough to give you a good workout or walking mix.
Wearable Music is In
Whether you’re a fitness fanatic or simply someone who really enjoys music, you’re going to love the hands-free capabilities of this MP3 player. It’s almost as if it were specially designed to be good hands-free! (Insert sarcastic smile.)
With a compact and light weight body, the thin design fits comfortably behind your neck. By getting rid of the cords, you no longer have any excuses about going ou to exercise. .
If you have the latest Walkman geared toward the active members of society, leave a comment below. We’d love to hear from you!

I’ve had to return one already due to malfunction.. and just today the buttons are not working on the replacement and it will not turn on or be recognized by the PC (which is required for charging) ….. also, its not so “wearable” after you even start to moderately sweat… slides right out your ears… the chord should be made of a more elastic material that allows for a snugger fit.. cause it simply cannot stay in place… sorry sony.. you need to take this one back to the drawing board..

Totally true. Don’t buy this gadget is a pain in the ass and Sony will do anything not to replace the unit merely under the pretext that the customer cannot provide proof of purchase (i.e. a receipt) despite having all handouts, warranty paper and all parts!!!

I just took my second unit back. First unit just died (its obviously not sweat-proof). And the second replacement unit also died after a 40 minute workout. But WHEN it works, this little device is great. Not recommended for the kind of folk who sweat a lot.
