If you’ve wanted to get a set of good speakers that you could dock your iPod in, but you’ve stayed away because of the design of most of them, you may want to look into the iLive iB109 (see CNET Review.) It may have more of a robot sounding name than a girly one, but don’t let that distract you from the design that has gone into this iPod accessory.
The first thing you’re going to notice is that it’s … well, girly. That isn’t a bad thing, though. With so many high-tech and “manly” ipod speaker docking systems out there, it’s refreshing to find one that comes at it a little different by targeting a specific demographic. Now, as to who that demographic is exactly, that’s not certain. That said, it’s easy to see how these ipod speakers would appeal to a lot of people out there.
If you’ve been looking for speakers for your iPod, but you’ve not been able to find something you really like, give iLive iB109 a chance. If you want something that isn’t too manly but still sounds great, these speakers are going to be for you. With a universal iPod dock and an AM/FM radio, it’s going to give you music, even if you don’t have any on your iPod at the moment.
There are plenty of other speaker options for your iPod out there, but this is one that’s a little unique. If you have the iLive iB109 speakers or you want them, we’d love to hear from you. Leave a comment below and let us know what you think about this pink boombox that will leave you breathless while you’re rocking out.
Until next time, remember not to judge an mp3 player (or speakers) by its cover.
