Twisted System Portable Speakers Review

Everybody wants a great sound system but these days, stereos are practically obsolete. People listen to music over their cell phones, their computers and laptops, their iPods and other MP3 players, and their docking stations. And as most of us well know, the speaker situations on such devices often leave a lot to be desired. That is why we are going to take a look at the Twisted System Portable Speakers. Now, before you start suffering from visions of homespun sound systems for football games and bus tours, bear in mind that these nifty little speakers are an entirely different species.

The Twisted System Portable Speakers are designed to travel with you, so you never have to give up listening to your favorite songs. If you are on holiday but still want to rock out to your favorite punk or pop songs, then these are definitely the speaker for you. Naturally, you get two speakers when you buy. Cube shaped, they are about 70 millimeters and can be twisted to change their sound projection to different directions. Samsung YP-MB2: Android alternative to iPod Touch

If you’ve been waiting for an Android alternative MP3 player, your wait is almost over. According to rumors all over the Internet, the Samsung YP-MB2 is being released soon in South Korea and maybe elsewhere. Based on the Android 2.1 operating system, this and subsequent MP3 players based on the android OS from Google are going to be real competitors against the iPod Touch. (Some recent reports have shown Android mobile phones overtaking Apple’s iPhone 4 phones.

With a large, outdoor-friendly four-inch Super AMOLED screen and 1GHz processor but would depend on Wi-Fi alone although most who are looking for just an MP3 player won’t mind. Without being tied to a cellphone contract, there are other positives as well.

Other Features:

  • TouchWiz (3.1) interface
  • 32GB expected storage

As mentioned, this is not a mobile phone, so you can’t make calls, but it does pick up and use WiFi hotspots, so you can get email if you happen to have a connection nearby.

Overall, the price and features of this iPod Touch alternative are going to be what attracts people to the MP3 player, we think.

The Samsung YP-MB2 is expected to be released August 11th in Korea, with it spreading to the world soon after. There has been no confirmation as of posting of exact release dates however, so you’ll want to bookmark us and check back soon to get all the latest information on the Samsung YP-MB2.

If you happen to be one of the first people to get your hands on a Samsung YP-MB2, please come back and leave a comment, letting us know what you think of this android alternative to the iPod Touch. Is the Samsung YP-MB2 all everyone expects it’s going to be? That’s yet to be seen, but the time is getting closer and closer every day.
